I have been experimenting with hair clips for the past month. I was originally inspired to put some together after reading this awesome blog post (one of my favorite blogs by the way). I had an immediate, "hey, I can make that!" moment. Here are some examples of clips I've put together. I've gathered a lot of inspiration from other mom friends and on Etsy.
I'm interested in all materials for making my clips. My original clips used scrap booking materials that I had lying around.
I've since gravitated more towards felt and fabric. Although, I've been experimenting with all kinds ideas. I really enjoy creating clips using my cross stitching.
These cross stitched clips were created for my niece. I'll need to get a photo of her wearing them, she is adorable.
I also made some special clips for my 8 year old niece's birthday.
Some heart clips for Valentine's day. Inspired my this wonderful tutorial.
And finally, some creations for another niece who will also be turning 8. I think the first clip is my favorite using a fabric yo yo.
There will be many more clips to come. I love that making hair clips is a get-in-get-out project. It doesn't take much time and you get to see someone else enjoy it.
These are darling!
ReplyDeleteYou need pictures of Mary Virginia wearing the clips you made for her!
